In what was the animated bands’ first live interview, Murdoc and 2D were invited to join MistaJam for Telekom Electronic Beats yesterday (April 20). It was streamed via YouTube and fans were also encouraged to submit their own questions.
It’s amazing to see the guys come to life like this, and it’s easy to forget that MistaJam is merely speaking to an empty sofa. Murdoc and 2D are the only band members “there” and they steal the show, but Russel phones in part-way through to say a little more.
The questions are generally pretty serious (locations in which they chose to record Humanz, the relationship between technology and the band, their new “Lenz” mobile app), but it swerves off-track numerous times as an interview with two humourous, chattering characters will! As DJ Mag put it, “it’s less an interview and more a really good comedy skit”.
