What Narciso Rodriguez was not looking for was a shenanigans fashion show at the New York Fashion Week. He offered, instead, a sleek and beautifully tailored collection. He offered tailored clothets with moments of surprise –
like the pumpkin suede boots with a grey wool coat.
In a historical moment of political turmoil, Rodriguez preferred to let his outfit speak by saying “the climate we’re experiencing has made me focus on things that are pragmatic and real and beautifully made”.
He presented long and fluid coats with no structured shoulders and pants at a cropped length. One of the main features was the attention given to sleeves on tops and dresses by hyperextending the sleeve and then carving out in the front to create a cape-like illusion.
