Things are just getting better and better for How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris. First he had an awesome part in mega-hit Gone Girl, then he announced he’d be hosting the next Oscar Awards and now it looks like he’ll be getting his own variety show based on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway! Rumor has it that NBC have ordered a 10 part series that will mimic Britain’s favourite presenting team and their Saturday night TV show.
Collider got a look at the official press release and mentioned the untitled series would feature; “comedy sketches, musical numbers, mini game shows, hidden camera pranks on celebrities and appearances by A-list stars”. All this and Neil’s constant charm and grace has got to be a winning combination! The series will be produced at ITV Studios America but has not had a premiere date set, as of yet.
