The Bluff is a new historical action movie with Zoe Saldana in the lead role that is now coming to Netflix. According to Deadline, the streaming platform won a bid over the other platforms with a seven-figure deal!
The Bluff is about pirates in the Caribbean, but unlike the famous Disney classics, it is not a family film. The plot is set in the Cayman Islands in the 1800’s. Ercell, the role played by Saldana, is a Caribbean woman whose secret past gets revealed when her island is invaded by pirates. The movie combines historical fiction with real action as the heroine fights fearlessly against the evil invaders.
Apart from Zoe Saldana, the movie also stars Frank E. Flowers. Both actors had already shared the stage as they previously teamed up in the 2004 drama named Haven. Joe Ballarini and Frank E. Flowers are busy with writing the script and Flowers will direct the work.
The film is going to be produced by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Mike Larocca and Angela Russ-Otsto, alongside Mariel and Cisely Saldana.
Currently Saldana has four Avatar sequels and is also filming an untitled film directed by David O Russell, with a cast including Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, Anya-Taylor Joy, Rami Malek, John David and Robert De Niro himself.
