International pop star Janet Jackson will be the subject of an upcoming two-part documentary based on her life, her career, her singer’s debut, and more. The documentary is to be titled JANET, and should arrive next year.
Next year, the American singer will celebrate the 40th anniversary of her debut in the music industry! Time flies when the talent is that good, so the the documentary will arrive just in time for this big celebration. It is set in two-parts because the producers want it to make a four-hour documentary.
Both Lifetime and A&E, who are the main producers, are promising a lot from this upcoming film. The documentary will also be co-produced by Workerbee and Associated Entertainment Corporation.
The synopsis of the documentary says, “Promises to offer unprecedented access to the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s life and an intimate, honest and unfiltered look at the untold story of one of the highest-earning artists in music history“.
They have already been filming for the past three years, so we will get to see really personal emotions from the superstar who sadly lost her father in 2018, the dramas that have been happening since the start of her career, the famous 2004 Halftime Super Bowl moment and more.
The film should be coming out at the beginning 2022, with Rick Murray and Brie Miranda Bryant from A&E Networks as executive producers, and Ben Hirsh will be directing.
