Seven film posters of the upcoming movie Little Women have recently been released on social media. Each poster depicts and introduces every one of the main characters of the film, displaying the outstanding cast, which took part in the shooting of the movie. The film is based on Louisa May Alcott’s novel about the March sisters.
The cast represents the past, present and future of Hollywood, with such actors like Saoirse Ronan, playing Jo; Emma Watson as Meg; Timothée Chalamet, playing Jo’s love interest Laurie; and Meryl Streep as Aunt March.
Alongside with the posters, every actor shared a few words about their role in the movie and their experiences during the shooting. Moreover, director and writer Greta Gerwig has recently said during an interview: “We wanted the movie to feel light on its feet. And even though it does take place in the 19th century, we in no way wanted it to feel like it was something that was past. We wanted it to feel like it was present right now”.
The movie will be, most likely, one of the front runners at next year’s Oscar Awards, with at least one of the main actors expected to run for Best Actor/Actress. Following the exceptional positive reactions during early screenings, these posters have definitely triggered fans’ hype and expectations. Luckily, they won’t have to wait for long, since the movie is set to hit cinemas on Christmas.
