Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane and X-Men star Patrick Stewart are an unlikely working pair but a comedic match made in heaven with Stuart guest starring in Family Guy and making regular appearances in American Dad. Start’s famous Brit voice also worked as narrator for MacFarlane’s comedy Ted. News broke out last year that MacFarlane would be producing a new comedy show, starring Stewart, getting fans excited about another collaboration and now there’s a new teaser trailer! Here’s the synopsis for new comedy series, Blunt Talk;
“Patrick Stewart (‘X-Men’ franchise, Ted) stars as Walter Blunt, a British import intent on conquering the world of American cable news. Through the platform of his nightly interview show, Blunt is on a mission to impart his wisdom and guidance on how Americans should live, think and behave. Besieged by network bosses, a dysfunctional news staff, numerous ex-wives and children of all ages, Blunt’s only support is the alcoholic manservant he transplanted from the U.K to join him in Los Angeles. The series follows the fallout from Blunt’s well-intentioned, but mostly misguided decision-making, both on and off the air”.
I’m seriously looking forward to seeing Patrick Stewart in a comedic role like this, profanity and all. With the teaser suggesting a small cocaine habit, this is going to be Stewart like we’ve never seen him before.
