In the run up to the mid-Spring release of Jon Favreau‘s mysterious and brooding adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling classic The Jungle Book, Disney has released a new poster showcasing the likes of King Louis the Orangutan and Kaa the cunning python, who are to be voiced by Christopher Walken and Scarlett Johansson respectively. You can see the poster below.
The poster also features ruins and vastness of the Indian jungle of which the story is set, and a handful of Louis’ monkey servants. Written by Justin Marks, the film is to balance realistic CGI animals with the acting debut of Neel Sethi as Mowgali.
The cast also includes Ben Kingsley as panther Bagheera, Lupita Nyong’o and Giancarlo Esposito as Akela and Racksha, the mother and father wolves that care for Mowgali, Bill Murray as Baloo the bear and Idris Elba as lethal tiger Shere Khan. The Jungle Book is set for release April 15.
