Knocking out series like Orange is The New Black and House of Cards, Netflix are doing their best to take over the world of television streaming by mixing easily accessible shows with brilliant drama and comedy. They’re hoping to get this mix just right again with their next original series, Bloodline. Focusing on a contemporary American family, the Rayburns, Bloodline will delve into the world of family secrets when black sheep son Danny returns to the family with every intention on destroying their seemingly perfect appearance.
“On March 20th, Netflix audiences around the world will meet the Rayburns, a contemporary American family who are hard-working pillars of their Florida community. But when the black sheep and eldest son, Danny (Ben Mendelsohn) comes home for the 45th anniversary of his parents’ hotel, he threatens to expose the Rayburns dark secrets and shameful past, pushing his siblings to the limits of family loyalty”.
Damages creator Tom Kessler is the man behind Bloodline with Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsoh, Linda Cardinellini, Sam Shepard, Sissy Spacek and Katie Finneran starring. With a real sense of brooding misery and family drama, this certainly looks like a series to binge on. With a pretty stellar cast and this promising trailer, I’ll definitely be tuning in.
