Nigerian-American Christian Pop artist Iryne Rock has released a new song titled “Story”.
Gospel and Christian music listeners have already fallen in love with the unique and captivating sounds proposed by the artist.
Spending childhood in Nigeria listening to all kind of Christian and Inspirational music, Iryne became a huge fan of noticeable artists such as Cece Winans or Kirk Franklin.
While being still in her teen years, she started to write her own songs she shared at RCCG Solomon’s Porch Worship Center in Jessup, Maryland where she leads worship.
With the support of her audience, she shared her first album titled Just For You in 2018.
She took the opportunity to work with Grammy nominated Billy Smiley, and together, they released the EP Grateful in 2021.
Even if she has never referred to herself as a worship artist, she genuinely enjoyed the process to create a worship EP.
In July 2021, she unfolded a new single titled “What Love Is” right after the Grateful EP, the track was followed by an addictive music video, which was featured on BET Soul.
Directly inspired by tales told by her parents and her aunties when she was young, “Story” is a nostalgic song dedicated to family and friends.
While speaking about these memories, she says “I remember sitting on my aunt’s lap in her Ibadan living room sometimes in darkness when there was no electricity, surrounded by candles and lanterns as she told us classic tales such as the tortoise and hare.”
Iryne Rock journey, devoted to the spread of love, is only starting.
