Netflix has been a hot topic this week, with talks of a possible animated series with Matt Groening, renewals of favourites like Jessica Jones and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and a host of new shows coming our way sometime in the future. As if that wasn’t enough, they’ve just gone and confirmed the release date for the award winning show Orange is the New Black as well as released a new teaser trailer!
The trailer shared some nostalgic moments and quotes from previous seasons, interspersed with a few new ones like Taystee (Danielle Brooks) in a blazer answering a phone excitedly. Fans are also hoping to see the return of Nicky (Natasha Lyonne) and Sophie (Laverne Cox) who were sent to maximum security prison and solitary confinement respectively. As Taystee said, “This is gonna get interesting”. The new season will be 13 episodes long and is set to premiere on June 17. Here’s the teaser:
