Pharrell Williams Is The First Male Muse For Latest Handbag Chanel Ad Campaign | Fashion News

Pharrell Williams made history in fashion industry when the French luxury house chose him as solo model for its latest handbag ad campaign.

After starring in a short film for Chanel and modelling at its latest Métiers d’Art show at the Ritz in Paris, Williams has been chosen for advertising a crocodile version of the new ‘Gabrielle’ bag.

The ad campaign is set to be launched on April 3 and will feature others stars such as Kristen Stewart, Cara Delevingne and Caroline de Maigret, each of them embodying a different style, respectively insouciant, streetwise and quintessentially Parisian.

Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel’s couturier, stated that the Gabrielle bag can be worn in “many different circumstances” by men and women indistinctly.

“When I first started wearing it I didn’t have anything in it. I was just so excited to have it”, said Pharrell “but now I use it to carry my phone, and — you know — essential personal things”.
