Pop singer Pixie Lott has been confirmed as the 11th celebrity to take part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. The “Mama Do” singer confirmed her participation earlier today (August 27) via the BBC One competition’s official Twitter feed. She said: “I’m so excited to be doing Strictly, it’s going to be a lot of fun. I always want to push myself as a performer so can’t wait to learn the routines“. The popular show which will return in August has yet to reveal four more contestants. Lott joins Mark Wright, Scott Mills, Jake Wood, Frankie Bridge, Alison Hammond, Judy Murray, Thom Evans, Steve Backshall, Simon Webbe and Sunetra Sarker in the latest series. Lott’s new self-titled album which she released earlier this month has reached number 15 in the UK charts.
