On Tuesday, Polarsets released their new song “Whispers” off of their new debut album Parasols. This track has an edgy, eerie feel to it expressed in its smooth vocals, chime presence, and psychedelic beats. At about two minutes in, it sounds as if the song is ending, but slowly the beat and background vocals are gradually revived. Following this intermission, my favorite part of the song proceeds with a variety of trumpet melodies. This group is a three-piece indie electronic band from Newcastle upon Tyne, England.
