The German duo ÄTNA, composed of multi-instrumentalist singer Inéz and drummer Demian, has just released their new single “Made By Desire“!
It will be released on February 14, 2020 as a vinyl, CD and limited color digital download. The title of their next album is revealed on the occasion of their appearance at Eurosonic Norderslaag 2020.
The duo Ätna offers through its music a dark pop, and makes its listeners waltzes through its abstract rhythms between extremes softness and explosion. Artists also bring a lot of importance to the visual and for them “aesthetics is a form of expression just like music“. For them, music and aesthetics are linked, as are the individual and society or composition and destruction.
Their video clips are thoughtful, and so are the visuals of their live shows. More than just a pop duo, ÄTNA is a real artistic stream of ideas, based on a question of inclusion, no boundaries, gender roles are blurred and raw emotion is triumphant. In the year 2019, the ÄTNA duo performed at numerous festivals in Germany and abroad, and performed all over Europe.
The duo can make us think of a mix between James Blake, Fever Ray and White Stripes with a touch of Christine And The Queens.
