Montreux Jazz Festival has finally announced the headliners for its 2021 edition!
The long-awaited Jazz festival has confirmed Rag’n’Bone Man, Arlo Parks and Detroit Techno legend Jeff Mills among its 2021 edition headliners. The rest of the lineup also includes Woodkid, Nathy Peluso, Inhaler, the Jeff Mills and Tony Allen project Paradox and many more.
Montreux Jazz Festival is one of Europe’s longest running live music events and it was cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However in April, organizers announced plans for the festival’s return with a limited capacity and a new stage. It is now known that this year’s festival take place in Switzerland debuting on a new stage Scene Du Lac, on the banks of Lake Geneva and last for a whole 16 days from July 2-17.
Montreux Jazz Festival’s history goes back to its foundation in 1967 by the late jazz connoisseur Claude Nobs. Over the years, the event has hosted performances of numerous music legends including Prince, David Bowie, Nina Simone, Quincy Jones, Marvin Gaye, Elton John and many others.
