Imagine meeting a guy. He’s sweet, he’s kind, he’s the perfect man you know your parents will love. You start dating him because you think you are prepared for it. But then, your ex keeps crossing your mind and you realise you are not over him. Who can relate?
Following the success of her last EP Imagine, singer, songwriter and producer Rapahella has unveiled her new single “I Lied”, an emotional and honest song that perfectly describes this messy situation.
“I Lied” was produced and written by the artist herself at Abbey Road Studies, in collaboration with Emily Burns and Aston Rudi in a BMI’s songwriting camp.
“Originally it was Emily on the demo, but after a few months it was just a song I kept coming back to and ended up recording it myself. I’m so used to working entirely on my own for my own releases, so ‘I Lied’ was so much fun to create because it was such a different process”, Raphaella comments about the song’s recording process.
Raphaella’s latest tracks have already been recognized and supported by BBC 1Xtra’s Mistajam, DJ Target, Billboard and many other famous magazines and personalities from the music industry. Her songwriting and production skills are undeniable, as she has proved by being already a multi-platinum songwriter.
“I Lied” continues in the line of their previous acclaimed work, showing her ability in storytelling and keeping her Pop vibes blended with some Electronic elements. Her versatility keeps us wondering which path her career will take, but we are sure that her presence on the Pop scene will keep emerging, thanks to her talent and dedication.
