US rapper Quavo, from the trio Migos with Offset and Takeoff, is making his debut in the film industry. He will have a role in the upcoming film Wash Me In The River directed by Randall Emmett.
The film is currently in the making in Puerto Rico. Quavo will have along his side, for his first film, three great actors, Robert DeNiro, John Malkovich, and Jack Huston. The rapper will be playing a character called “Coyote”, who is a fearless, ruthless, and heartless drug lord, according to the announcement.
The film is a thriller all about drugs, vengeance for love, police pursuits and much more. Hopefully, we will soon get a trailer or more images from the film.
Regarding Quavo’s acting career, he has already appeared on various shows like Atlanta on FX, the Netlfix series Narcos: Mexico and Star on Fox, but this will be his first major film role.
For Quavo, this is a great start to his actor’s career – if he wants the pursue it – because he has the best on his side, and I quote Quavo: “The experience was unbelievable for me, with Robert DeNiro and Jack Huston being so down to earth and making me feel like family.
“Gonna see me doing some stunts and a lot of what you hear from me in my raps! This is one of my biggest debuts I’ve ever had, and so proud of what we did and to get to work with Randall who’s such an amazing guy — I can’t wait to do more films with him“.
We can only imagine his character having the superstar’s personality.
Even the director Randall Emmett was impressed with Quavo’s natural acting talents. He is confident that the rapper will and can make a real career in film, like he has done in music.
We will have to wait to get more information and more images on this upcoming thriller but with all of Quavo’s excitement and the actors featuring, we can only imagine that the film will be a blockbuster when it will be out in cinemas.
