Canadian artist Ariel has released the first glimpse of her upcoming album with her new single “First”. The album Libra will be her debut solo project and is set to be released on July 9. It is following the collaboration that Ariel has done with MosEL and Quell Chris on the project RAY: Rise Above Yourself.
“First” is an anthem to the artist’s journey of self-discovery. With a bouncy beat background accompanied by a little bit of electronics with Ariel’s R&B vocals on it, the song seems to be ready for being the one you will need for your summer parties. It also comes with its official video, in black and white we are following the singer in different places.
In her upcoming album, Libra, Ariel is exploring the duality as the protagonist is seeking a balance between isolation/togetherness, selfishness/selflessness and autonomy/codependency. The album was written and recorded by Ariel in her studio in Saskatoon and was produced in Los Angeles by KYREKYREKYRE.
Ariel is a singer, songwriter, and musician. She was born in Vancouver and raised in Saskatoon. Her voice is sweet, refined and timeless and her sound feels both familiar and new, just like imminent nostalgia.
She is also the vocalist and songwriter for R&B/soul duo Ariel & Sean alongside producer, Dj and Red Bull 3Style champion Charly Hustle.
