Famous Lebanese designer Reem Acra transformed the Museu Marítim into a special enchanted forest last night as she unveiled her new Spring/Summer 2019 collection at the Bridal Fashion Week in Barcelona. Her Middle Eastern magic has been reflected in her works and her love for the traditional way of dressmaking that she learned from her grandmother growing up.
Acra’s European and American influences are fully on display in her new collection, which seem to have taken inspiration from Shakespeare‘s stories. All of the new collection have been designed for real, strong, modern and traditional women.
She said before the catwalk: “For this collection, the models have to walk like modern princesses, they have to walk like queens. When they walk in the catwalk, I tell them that they don’t have to expose my clothes, they have to walk as if they were married, as if they dominated the world”.
