Last year Reese Witherspoon, launched the campaign #AskHerMore to encourage reporters to ask women smarter, more in-depth questions about their creative endeavours. Instead of limiting them to the shallow and traditional “Who are you wearing?” question.
In just a few hours, our favourite celebrities will be strolling down that red carpet one more. This year, Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls organisation has teamed up with Twitter and The Golden Globes to send out a call for more compelling red carpet questions. Fans around the globe were quick to offer up suggestions, as well as several celebrities – Reese Witherspoon, Shonda Rhimes, Zendaya, and Jamie Foxx – all submitted more thoughtful questions using the hashtag #SmartGirlsAsk.
“Are you excited for tomorrow’s #GoldenGlobes? Me too,” Witherspoon tweeted. “It’s also an opportunity for reporters to #AskHerMore about her craft and performances. Not just her clothes”. Scroll down for more #SmartGirlsAsk tweets.
