Rex Orange County Announces New ‘Pony’ Album And Tour | Music News

 

Rex Orange County has announced his next studio album called Pony and an upcoming UK and North American tour. The news arrives after the British indie-pop singer shared a new single “10/10” last week.

 

Alex O’Connor, known under his stage name Rex Orange County, is set to release his third full-length on October 25 via Sony Music. The record will follow his 2017 LP Apricot Princess. The artist revealed the full tracklisting and artwork for his forthcoming release.

 

Last week, O’Connor gave fans the first taste of Pony with his most recent single “10/10”, the follow-up to “New House”, which he surprise released in February this year. The 21-year-old singer wrote and recorded his new 10-track album almost entirely on his own in at Stongroom Studios in East London.

 

Rex Orange County will also be embarking on a massive tour in the UK and oversees, which is slated to kick off on November 13 in Birmingham. His other UK and Ireland shows include Manchester, Dublin, Glasgow and London. Next year, O’Connor will inaugurate his US tour on January 9 in Phoenix and wrap it up on February 27 in Atlanta.

 

Last year, Rex Orange County recorded a cover of the famous Toy Story song “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” with Randy Newman. In 2017, he also contributed to Taylor The Creator’s highly praised LP Flower Boy.
