Rising, London-based electropop duo REYKO have released their delicate, atmospheric new track “Lose Myself” – their first official release of 2019.
Mixing styles from electro, minimal, indie, dance and trap and balancing it with pop hooks and melodies, the duo – consisting of vocalist Soleil and producer Igor – continue to make sensational, mood-setting music that is defying labels and bending genres.
New track “Lose Myself” carries the same momentum. A lo-fi cut embellished by Soleil’s sensual, whisper-like vocals. They’ve taken the same minimalist energy and channelled it into an alluring video to match.
The pair initially started making music together as the final project for Igor’s masters degree in music production. Since then, Soleil and Igor have held on to their special bond and maintained their DIY approach to music – writing, producing and recording everything from their home studio.
Their official debut single “Spinning Over You” became a viral hit in 2018 in their native Spain, which would see them perform to over 20K people in Madrid’s Arena as part of the Spanish Radio Ball.
Spending the large part of last year touring – culminating in a nomination for Best New Spanish Artist at the LOS40 Awards – REYKO now come through with a dreamy, textured new track that sets the tone for a milestone 2019.
