New York City based R&B singer Linda Diaz has given fans another taste of her forthcoming EP with the title track, “Magic”. The infectious tune seamlessly pairs Linda’s honeyed vocals with subtle minimalist production.
Linda Diaz, an American singer-songwriter of Puerto Rican origin, produces fresh R&B anthems enhanced by elements of various other genres ranging from jazz and folk to salsa, hip hop and indie-rock.
Earlier this year, the rising songstress dropped her five-track debut EP. The record named V paid tribute to Linda’s late grandfather, Victor Diaz. Her latest offering “Magic” is the fourth and last single taken from the upcoming EP by the same title, which is set to land on December 13.
The song follows Linda’s earlier releases, “Ready 4 U”, “Green Tea Ice Cream” and “Honesty”. The latter is described by Lyrical Lemonade as “swift as can be and propelled by lively, open emotion, it checks off every box as a song of both surface-level and emotive merit, combining easy-to-tell replay value with undeniable sincerity”.
Carefully produced and perfectly coherent Magic showcases Linda’s flair for genre-spanning melodies and storytelling lyrics. The vocalist recorded her upcoming record in collaboration with ThankYouFatMatt one half of American R&B duo Cool Company.
