Something tells me that Harley Sylvester – one half of Rizzle Kicks – will not be collecting his own MOBO anytime soon, as he’s launched a foul-mouthed tirade against the awards ceremony. Sylvester (pictured left) – who’s now embarking on a solo career under the new name of Jimi Charles Moody, thinks that the MOBOs are a massive joke, corrupt and that the organisers are open to bribery so that winners can buy their awards.
Once he’d finished tearing into the MOBOs, Harley or Jimi or whatever his name is today, turned his attention to the Brit Awards, criticising the lack of black artists nominated. He does have a point: although The Weeknd and Drake are nominated as Best International Artists, what about the other categories?
