Robot Wars is one show I’d never thought I’d see returning to our TV screens, but BBC2 has just commissioned a brand new 6-episode run of the series. Robot Wars is like the ‘Ronseal’ of TV programming, in that it does exactly what it says on the tin: machines built by the hands of mechanical masterminds battle it out in a number of challenges to be crowned the victor. In the 90’s, this is what tea-time telly was all about.
No news as yet whether Craig Charles, the face of Robot Wars, will be returning as host, or if robot-fave Sir Killalot will also be making a comeback. One thing’s for certain, however: the BBC has promised “more robots, more battles and more science.” What more could you ask for?
