Showtime Picks Up ‘Shameless’ For A Seventh Season | TV News



Following the season premiere of its’ sixth series, Showtime’s Gary Levine, President of Programming has ordered twelve more episodes of the hit show Shameless. Season six starts shortly after last series finale, the Gallaghers’ preparing for another Chicago Winter. There is more than an arctic wind blowing through Chicago though as the characters face up to change.


“Shameless has clearly resonated with audiences as evidenced by their steady growth on Sunday nights over the past 6 years” Levine said, production on the seventh season due to start later this year.


Based on the U.K. series of the same name, the series stars William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum, Jeremy Allen White, Ethan Cutkosky, Shanola Hampton, Steve Howey, Emma Kenney, and Cameron Monaghan.
