Universal’s First Man film, based on James Hansen’s biography First Man: The Life Of Neil A. Armstrong, is in development, and it is rumoured that Ryan Gosling is being courted to play the famed astronaut. The film is directed by Damien Chazelle, known for Whiplash (2014), while the script is done by Josh Singer.
The rumour emerged, as Chazelle and Gosling are currently working together on La La Land, a musical film set in contemporary Los Angeles and starring Gosling as a jazz pianist and Emma Stone as the aspiring actress he falls for.
