Sandra Bullock Joins Brad Pitt In ‘Bullet Train’ | Film News

Another big star has boarded David Leitch‘s upcoming action-thriller, Bullet Train.

The cast was already stacked with Brad Pitt, Lady Gaga, Brian Tyree Henry, Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Zazie Beetz, Logan Lerman and Michael Shannon all aboard, but the film has now added Sandra Bullock as well.

This will surprisingly be the first time Bullock and Pitt have worked together. Bullock’s role is currently unspecified, but getting her on board makes total sense since the film seems to be taking a lot from Speed anyway, which was Bullock’s big Hollywood break back in the 90s.

Bullet Train revolves around five assassins who all find themselves on the same train from Tokyo to Morioka. It’s based on Kotaro Isaka‘s novel Maria Beetle. It’s unclear how much of the source material will be translated for this version, but since being announced it has sounded like a perfect excuse for Leitch’s impressive stunts and choreography.

Leitch was previously a stunt co-ordinator who co-directed the original John Wick, which led to him helming other action films such as Atomic Blonde and Deadpool 2.

Bullet Train could be his biggest and wildest project yet, and it will be great to see a slew of big stars teaming up for a big original action film that should be filled with as much craziness as production can afford.

No word yet on when the film will arrive. Some of it has already been shot – filming originally commenced back in November – but obviously not all of it if Bullock has only just signed on. We’ll continue playing the waiting game.
