Scarlett Johansson speeds past Emma Stone officially as the highest paid actress in the world. According to Forbes, Johansson managed to earn a whopping $40.5 million between June 2017 – June 2018, placing her at the top of the list.
Following Johansson and Stone on the Forbes’ list are Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lawrence and Reese Witherspoon.
No doubt Black Widow had a role in this! Johansson, who plays the bad-ass superhero has become a much loved character amongst Marvel fans. Not only is she portraying a cool, iconic female lead but it helps that the Avengers films are doing quite well at the moment!
Talks of the Black Widow getting her own film are still amidst however, Johansson will return in the upcoming Avengers film so be on the lookout for that.
