MICHA, the rising star in the music scene, has just dropped his newest single, “Drunk,” a song inspired by the overwhelming feeling of being deeply in love with someone special.
He explains, “I wrote ‘drunk’ because I was so enchanted by someone that a pen and paper were the only way for me to articulate, put it into perspective, and give it a place.”
MICHA’s music is all about mixing different styles like pop, alternative, and singer/songwriter vibes. He’s into all sorts of music, from Chet Baker to Jon Bellion, and you can really feel that in his songs.
Before the pandemic, the singer was part of a duo called Micha & Julia which was doing pretty well, getting millions of streams on platforms like Apple and Spotify. They played at big festivals in The Netherlands and even opened for some famous acts. But when Covid came along, MICHA decided to go solo and focus on his own music.
He headed to Nashville, TN, to work with some top songwriters, and it paid off when Liz Rose Music took notice. His first single, “Do Me Like You Do,” has got people talking, some even claiming it’s a cooler version of Lewis Capaldi.
Now, with “Drunk,” MICHA continues to impress. Critics are loving his voice, one saying it’s “beautiful” all the way through, and another praising its power and emotion.
