‘Tis the season of gift-giving so, on Christmas Day, Skrillex released a new remix and a music video to accompany it. The remix is of “Stranger”, the third track from 2014 album Recess. According to Skrillex, the song sounds more “ethereal” to suit the music video which features children having fun beside a disused building.
As an additional goodwill gesture, buyers of the track can pay however much they want and all proceeds will be split between youth organisations Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Bridges for Music, and Jhamtse Gatsal Children’s Community. “There are a lot of less fortunate kids out there on Christmas Day,” Skrillex expressed, so the charity aspect seemed “very appropriate”. The track can be downloaded here and the music video is below.
