For those who followed the first season of the Netflix original coming-of-age series, Barb (played by Shannon Purser) is a character that although short-lived, became a fan favourite due to her many ‘unique qualities’.
Receiving coverage through many different forms of the internet, many would come to recognise the Barb meme as the representation of every well meaning friend that certainly deserves pity for their undying loyalty.
Taking in the form of a News segment from Hawkins, the reporter pays tribute to the character by making references to what made her so popular with the fans of the show. At least with this, we can finally see a little more well-deserved Barb time as the series enters its second season.
