SXSW Online Music Festival Announces Second Wave of Artists | Music News

 

The South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW) has announced a second wave of artists that have been invited to perform at the 35th annual event, which is going virtual.

 

The festival will be a totally different experience, first of all, in view of the global health crisis the festival will be held entirely online, but that’s not all, the artists will perform in unexpected settings around the world such as historical sites for example.

 

The online festival will result in a truly exceptional musical experience with international musical styles. To name a few of the artists revealed during this second wave of announcements, you will find Camilla George, 404 Guild, The Deer, The lazy Eyes, Chubby and the Gang, Onipa, Penelope Isles and many more names!

 

Every pass holder for this festival will have the pleasure to attend a unique online experience, with artists who have chosen iconic showcases from their home countries, such as a Taoist temple, a machine factory and an indoor shrimp fishing place in Taiwan, a cable car in Norway, a motorway viaduct in Los Angeles, Abbey Road Studios and the 606 Club in London to give you just a few examples.

 

In addition to music festival showcases, pass holders also have access to the full range of content available during SXSW Online, including lectures, keynote speakers, mentoring sessions and much more.

 

Conferences by Willie Nelson and Stacey Abrams as well as guest speakers including Queen Latifah, Wyclef Jean, Andrew Bird, Mary J. Blige, Carole King, Demi Lovato and many others have already been announced for 2021 SXSW Online.

 

This festival will therefore be a unique festival that will hold a lot of surprises for the fans! It will take place from March 16-20.
