T-Pain – Hundred Mo Dolla$ | New Music
As T-Pain gears up to release his forthcoming album, Stoicville: The Phoenix, the Nappy Boy Entertainment leader decides to release a brand a new single, “Hundred Mo Dolla$”. The new track features DJ Spinz production. The track addresses cash flow issues, perhaps rather than boasting of money making prowess.
The song’s beginning evokes Hawaii, particularly the seemingly beach percussion. It is also awash with autotune. Then the rattling drum machine kicks in, and these drums appear to double up climatically. At this point the vocals soar a bit higher, almost like the key change when someone endeavours to construct a pop classic. It is good, but not that good.
