Taylor Swift has taken the high road and has publicly apologised via a tweet to Nicki Minaj over their MTV VMA twitter row.
Some of the first tweets to start off the feud from Minaj where: “If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year” and “when the ‘other’ girls drop a video that breaks records and impacts culture they get that nomination“. Swift admitted that she mistook the tweets after mistakenly thinking they were aimed at her, and replying back with “I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot“.
Once realising her mistake she quickly apologised which has put an abrupt end to it all. The singer wrote: “I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, then misspoke, I’m sorry, Nicki“, to which Minaj responded: “That means so much Taylor, thank you“. All is right in the world of music once again, but Meek Mill is still banned from Toronto apparently.
