The Best Red Carpet Looks From 2022 LACMA Art + Film Gala

It’s not required to wear Gucci to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art‘s annual Art + Film Gala, but it’s highly advised.

The museum held its eleventh gala on Wilshire Boulevard this past weekend, sponsored by Gucci, to honor America’s most prominent creatives and cultural power players.

The stars dined in 2022 to honor South Korean director Park Chan-Wook and Light and Space artist Helen Pashgian.

The ceremony was once again co-chaired by Leonardo DiCaprio and LACMA board member Eva Chow, and it concluded with a musical performance by Sir Elton John himself.

Gucci was the go-to brand for many of the famous guests on the LACMA red carpet. Many of the attendees were notable fashionistas, such as Olivia Wilde, who recently completed a very Gucci-field Don’t Worry Darling press tour and wore the house’s hallmark sequins.

Karla Welch, Wilde’s stylist, paired the purple and silver chevron gown with red latex opera gloves to match the stiletto crimson heel peeking out from under her skirt. Billie Eilish, on the other side, channeled Cleopatra by wrapping herself and The Neighbourhood‘s Jesse Rutherford in a monogram carpet, complete with slippers.

What about the guests who aren’t dressed in Gucci? Both Laura Harrier and Blackpink‘s Rosé wore Anthony Vaccarello‘s hooded gowns in many appearances for Saint Laurent.

Kendall Jenner and Addison Rae both wore sleek, navel-baring ensembles, but their designers differed, with Jenner wearing Burc Akyol and Rae wearing antique Jean Louis de Scherrer.
