‘The Mighty Boosh’ Co-Creator Julian Barratt Pens British Comedy ‘Mindhorn’ | Film News

Julian Barratt, known predominantly for the co-creation of wacky comedy series The Mighty Boosh, alongside comedian Noel Fielding, has co-written a forthcoming British comedy film entitled Mindhorn – alongside previous The Mighty Boosh cast member Simon Farnaby.

The plot synopsis, as released by Deadline: “When MI5 Special Operative Bruce Mindhorn was captured in the late 1980s, his eye was replaced by a super-advanced optical lie detector, which meant he could literally ‘see the truth’. He escaped and fled to the Isle of Man, to recuperate in the island’s temperate microclimate, and today has become the best plain-clothes detective the island has ever seen“.

It seems to promise the same tomfoolery and surreality that The Mighty Boosh was so famous for. As for casting, no word has been released, however shooting for the project is set to begin in the Isle of Man on the 27th of July.
