‘The Old Man & The Gun’ Stars Robert Redford As Gentleman Robber | Film Trailer
Legendary actor Robert Redford will ‘not go gentle into that good night’. The 81-year-old movie star, whose Hollywood career took off fifty years ago with iconic roles involving shootouts — such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid or Jeremiah Johnson — has come full circle, ending his career the way it began: with a gun in his hand.
The official trailer for David Lowery‘s crime drama The Old Man & the Gun gives a first look at Redford’s alleged last performance before retirement, starring as the true-life elderly gentleman robber Forrest Tucker who escaped prison at age 70 and embarked on an unprecedented string of heists — two years, five states, 93 robberies.
Along the way, Tucker falls in love with Sissy Spacek‘s Jewel and gets chased by Casey Affleck‘s Detective John Hunt.
Check out the exciting trailer for The Old Man & the Gun, which opens in theaters September 28 via Fox Searchlight Pictures.
