The Weeknd has released a music video for his new single, “Call Out My Name” from his new project My Dear Melancholy.
“Call Out My Name” is the first single of My Dear Melancholy and he shared it exclusively on Spotify, as well as for the song “Try Me“. He also shared a documentary of the creation process of the new project called He Was Never There.
My Dear Melancholy has two collaborations with Gesaffelstein, the same the producer of Frank Dukes, Daft Punk, Skrillex, Mike WiLL Made-It and others.
In 2016, The Weeknd – real name Abel Tesfaye – released Starboy, which he won the Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album. Also, Abel joined with famous rapper Kendrick Lamar for “Pray For Me“, one track from the soundtrack for the latest Marvel blockbuster, Black Panther.
The new music video was directed by Grant Singer and in the video, The Weeknd can be found in some deserted city streets. He’s also caught vomiting out bats and dancing alone in a cinema. Also, the clip includes many scenes for a mysterious alien wathcing the camera, animals in slow motion, the inside of spaceship, etc..
