On January 18, The Wombats were celebrating their debut album’s ten year anniversary. To share their excitment with their fans, they just added shows to their 2017 tour around Australia and UK this summer.
This first album, titled A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation, was released in November 2007, and gave the band’s carreer an impressive kick start, specially with the massive success of tracks “Kill The Director“, “Moving To New York“ and “Let’s Dance To Joy Division“, totalling to themselves over 50 million plays on Spotify.
We will also be celebrating 10 years of our 1st album in Liverpool – the place it all began. Plus we couldn’t forget Glasgow! The ‘bats x pic.twitter.com/0i9ou6n3eY

The announcement was made on Twitter at the begining of the afternoon, unveiling two June dates; a show in Glasgow on the 27th and one in Liverpool on the 29th. Sales start on Friday at 9AM. A few days ago, the band dropped a small hint on today’s reveal and declared that the London show was sold out in one day; our bet is that these tickets will sell like hotcakes! So mark your calendars!
Wombat fans will also be thrilled to know they have some new music coming out soon. This would be their first release since their last album, Glitterbug, in 2015. Needless to say we can’t wait!
