Indie pop-rock/alt-rock band, Arrows In Action, has released their newest single “Only Be Mine” which arrived accompanied by its music video. The song was recorded, engineered as well as mixed by Dan Swank, known for his work with All Time Low.
Arrows in Actions already received rave reviews from popular music publications and has encountered some success on TikTok with their latest single entitled “This Time”. The release of “Only Be Mine” is here to prove that they are just getting started.
This new single is exploring the isolation that often comes to the people who choose to follow their passions, these people that have a tireless devotion to their art which often become a detriment of their personal relationships.
The singer of the band, Victor Viramontes-Pattison has shared: “‘Only Be Mine’ reflects on the consequences of letting your relationships fall to the wayside with the intention of chasing your passion.
You have to work tirelessly and devote yourself entirely to achieve your goals, but that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice everything else in your life to make it happen – you just have to figure out a way to make it work and that’s always easy. It took me a long time to accept that”.
The music video has been directed by Doltyn Snedden in an abandoned town. In it Pattison is roaming in the streets looking for a woman, this woman – played by Taylor Acorn is the ghost of an ancient relationship, something that doesn’t exist anymore and Pattison struggles to accept this.
Arrows In Action was formed in 2015 by drummer Jesse Frimmel and is composed of Frimmel, Pattison and guitarist Matthew Fowler. The band has quickly become a band to watch in the alt-rock scene.
Most of the time their music is not about happy ending but is more like a tool used for personal reflection.
