Tommy Trash released “Luv U Giv” a few weeks back, now it is set to be given the full remix treatment. Seven producers have been invited to twist and turn the track in any direction they can, and here is Shift K3Y’s effort. The track kicks off with what sounds like beach percussion, then opens with an infectious vocal sample. It gradually builds to a crescendo that washes over the listener.
After this, there are some quite abstract noises. They are not particularly tuneful, but somehow they work. The vocals are then given space to breathe, just before another crescendo, this one of which is daresay the finest moment of the track. There’s an immediacy to the end, as if the situation within the song’s concept has become grave.
