Here’s an early Christmas present for you: comedian Trevor Noah, who replaced Jon Stewart as host of The Daily Show this year, brings his sharp stand-up routines to London, for a 2-night residency at Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo, from December 21-22, 2015.
Noah’s spiky humour takes an unflinching look at race and politics. But not everyone was pleased with him stepping into the ‘Daily Show’ spotlight. After posting several controversial jokes online for his 2 million-plus Twitter followers, naysayers spoke out about their disappointment at the 31-year old South African getting the Daily Show gig. And so Comedy Central was forced to issue the following statement: “Trevor Noah pushes boundaries; he is provocative and spares no one, himself included”.
Noah doesn’t dumb it down – so be prepared to be informed, enlightened and, most of all, entertained. His December 21 gig is already sold out, but there are still tickets available for December 22. To book, visit the venue’s website here or call the box office on 08442494300 between 8am and 10pm.
