When Troye Sivan started releasing new tracks earlier this year after three years of radio silence, it was obvious to anyone that this would be a new era for the Australian singer. His debut studio album, Blue Neighbourhood, had already showed the world a level of mastery that was phenomenal coming from someone as inexperienced as Sivan, and this year only saw his confidence continue to flourish.
The third single from his upcoming studio album, Bloom, is the eponymous track off of the record, and is also the song that, so far, shows Sivan’s ingenuity the best.
A song explicitly meant for the LGBT community, the music video takes it one step further by producing visuals that do far more than impress, and endear Sivan to anyone that’s watching. Long gone is the boy who stood shyly in front of the camera, and now is the era for a more brazen popstar who knows how to stand up for his sexuality before the whole world.
Troye Sivan’s second studio album, Bloom, is out on August 31 and is available for preorder now.
