Right before entering the New Year, Us the Duo share their compilation of the best hits from 2017. It has already become an annual tradition, and clearly a successful one – the previously released medleys reached 7-20 million views on Youtube.
Husband and wife, Michael and Carissa Alvarado, started their career with uploading 6-second covers on Vine app. Amassing millions of followers led to them signing to major label Republic Records, touring with Tori Kelly, Pentatonix and then recording 4 studio albums.
Besides their original, mostly folk-pop genre songs, the duo still keep making various covers. Their most recent release Our Favorite Time of Year is a set of famous Christmas songs.
Two beautiful young people, their harmonized voices, minimal piano/guitar chords and a bit of beatboxing – sounds like a simple formula. Though, their secret of stealing people’s hearts is pure honesty and, definitely, love.
