Fresh off casting favourite TV dad, Kyle Chandler, last week, Godzilla: King Of The Monsters has now added Vera Farmiga to its cast. She will play Chandler’s wife and the mother of Stranger Things‘ Millie Bobby Brown.
While most of the attention will naturally go to the big dude in the title, the film is quietly putting together a solid cast, with Ken Watanabe also on board. Gareth Edwards‘ Godzilla was relatively well received but caught some backlash for its handling of human characters. The best way to repair that? Well, a) a slightly better script, but b) cast excellent character actors.
This film is a part of Legendary and Warner Bros. planned monsterverse, with Kong: Skull Island hitting cinemas on Friday, March 10 before Godzilla: King Of The Monsters arrives March 22, 2019, until finally they combine with Godzilla Vs Kong, currently scheduled for May 29, 2020. Who knows if Farmiga’s character will still be alive by then.
