Marvel has an almost absurd line up of releases to come in the next year, with Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War all on the plate, but it’s the film to arrive after all three of those that’s grabbing the headlines ahead of potential unveilings and announcements at San Diego Comic-Con.
Ant-Man And The Wasp has cast Emmy-nominated Walter Goggins in an unspecified role. Goggins is arguably TV royalty at this point, having wowed audiences in shows such as Justified, Sons Of Anarchy and The Shield, but also appeared in Quentin Tarantino‘s The Hateful Eight last year.
As an extraordinarily talented character actor, Goggins should provide the grit to balance out against the returning Paul Rudd‘s titular superhero. Director Peyton Reed is also set to return for the sequel, alongside actors Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michael Peña and T.I.
Production on the film is set to begin later this month, so it’s likely that Goggins’ character will be revealed to the public at Comic-Con. It’s an increasingly exciting time to be a Marvel fan as Phase Three rolls on.
