Warcraft: The Beginning was never going to do well, even in the US. It has fared poorly in the US, making just $24.4 million in its opening weekend. The $160 million budget fantasy adventure film based on the Blizzard role playing game World of Warcraft, suffered from negative reviews and earned a 27% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film has been a hit in China though, making a contrasting $156 million in its first five days taking the global total to $286 million, almost half of the $450 million it needs to break even. The Conjuring 2 however made a much larger impact, becoming the biggest horror opening since the prequel opened in 2013.
