Will Coldplay’s ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ Top The Charts After Their ‘Super Bowl’ Performance? | Music News
Coldplay‘s latest album, A Head Full of Dreams, was released in December 2015 and it is, up until now, the band’s only album that did not hit the first position on the charts.
But things seem about to change: as the Official Charts Company reports, a spike of 8,000 combined sales has been registered after the band played at the 50th Super Bowl halftime performance yesterday (February 7); if the numbers keep coming, Coldplay should top the charts by this Friday (February 12).
In that case, it would be the British band’s seventh UK number one, something they didn’t achieve back in December mainly due to the extreme success of Adele‘s 25, which denied them the first position in the UK, US, Australia, Canada, Italy, and many other territories.
While waiting for the final results, you can watch Coldplay’s latest single featuring Beyoncé, “Hymn For the Weekend”.
